2019-2020

Demonstration on Soft Toy

On 10th January Home Science students observed preparation of soft toy (Panda). The resource Person was Ms.B.Radhika, Lecture in Community College, Ch.S.D.St.Theresa’s College for Women (A), Eluru.



Demonstration on Bakery Products

On 20th November II and III B.Sc Home Science along with PG.Clinical Nutrition students observed preparation of bakery products like biscuits and cakes. The resource Person was Mr.Davud from Davud Bakery, Eluru.




Work Shop on Painting Skills
Department of Home Science organized a workshop on painting skills from 19th August, 2019 to 21st August, 2019 for the first year Home Science students by Mrs. I. Aruna Kumari, Pidilite Industries, Mumbai.

On the first day, pot painting, Mural and Varli painting techniques were demonstrated. On 20th August, 2019, glass painting techniques, tie and dye techniques, Lippon Work was demonstrated. On third day Kalamkari art, liquid embroidery, one stroke painting was demonstrated. Home science students had an opportunity of learning various painting skills through the workshop.




2018-2019
Work Shop on Screen Printing
Department of Home Science organized a workshop on 14th ,15th and 22nd  of December, 2018 for I, II and III year Home Science students. B. Jyothi, Jyothi Designing Works, Palakolu was the resource person.
On the first day, Kadhi Binder, Normal Binder, Lazar 4000, Fast fix Binder, Emboss Binder were demonstrated. On 15th December, 2018 Silver Binder, Gold+Silver+Copper Binder, Glitter Binder was demonstrated. On 22nd December, 2018 Screen Printing on T-Shirts and Saree were demonstrated. Home science students had an opportunity of learning various screen printing skills and techniques through the workshop.






Work Shop on Painting Skills (2018-2019)
Department of Home Science organized a workshop from 30th July to 1st August, 2018 for the first year Home Science and Diploma in Fashion Designing students by Mrs. I. Aruna Kumari, Pidilite Industries, Mumbai.
On the first day, one stroke painting, glass painting techniques, tie and dye techniques, Lippon Work were demonstrated.On 31st July, 2018 Mural and Varli painting techniques, liquid embroidery was demonstrated. On third day Kalamkari art, cut work, pendent art techniques were demonstrated. Products prepared by the students were exhibited. Dr.Sr.Mercy.P, Principal visited and congratulated the participants. Home science and D.F.D students had an opportunity of learning various painting skills through the workshop.








EXHIBITION:
On Wednesday, 8th August 2018, the department of Home Science exhibited articles prepared by the I B.Sc Home Science and D.F.D. students during their workshop.
Principle Dr.Sr.Mercy, Controller of Examination Sr.Suneela Rani and staff members of other departments visited the exhibition and appreciated the students. Students of other departments were also visited.
