Demonstration on Bakery
Products
On
20th November II and III B.Sc Home Science along with PG.Clinical
Nutrition students observed preparation of bakery products like biscuits and
cakes. The resource Person was Mr.Davud from Davud Bakery, Eluru.
On
5th November, 2019 Mrs.Kiranmayi, Women Entrepreneur, gave a talk to
Home Science students and created awareness on “Women Entrepreneurship”. She
explained about the opportunities provided by the Government for encouraging
new entrepreneurs. She motivated them to
start Small Scale Industries and instructed them to be self-sufficient
financially. She has 30 Printing units all over AP and Telangana.
On
5th November, 2019 Home Science students attended Guest Lecture on
the topic “Entrepreneurship” by Mrs.P.Shoba Rani, Program Co-coordinator of
ALEAP from Vijayawada. She explained about Centre for Entrepreneurship
Development (CED), A Nodal Training Institute for ACABC Scheme of MANAGE,
Training Facility supported by SWARNABHARAT TRUST, Vijayawada Chapter. CED
conducts EDP, FDP, PMEGP, WEDO, EAC, TOT, Agri Clinic and Agri Business
Development Programmes. CED provides follow up services after the training
programmes.
On
14th November, 2019 the students of III B.Sc Home Science attended a
guest lecture on the topic “Personal Hygiene-Hand wash practices”. The resource
person of the program was Mrs.D.Rose Mary, District Nursing Officer, District
Medical and Health Office (DMHO).
On
November 16th, 2019, Dr.K.Rani gave a talk in PARAMARSH meeting on
the topic “Formation of IQAC-NAAC criteria”.
On
2nd November, 2019, Dr.M.Padmaja gave a talk on “Awareness about
Nutrition Food” on the occasion of Nutrition Day Celebrations, organized by Sri
Chaitanya Techno School, Eluru.
GUEST LECTURE
On
23rd September 2019, G.Akhila, alumnae of our college visited the
Home Science department. She is resident of Singapore, and there she is
conducting classes of fine arts. Her visit was utilized by organizing a demo
class on pencil sketching and her canvas paintings were displayed to motivate
students.
GUEST LECTURE
On
14th February, 2019 Dr. G. Anitha, Asst. Professor, A.S.D. Government
Degree College, Kakinada gave a talk to Home Science students and created
awareness on Avenues of Home Science. She explained about the opportunities for
higher studies and jobs. She motivated
them to attempt competitive exams and gave certain instructions regarding the
same. She encouraged the students to take up either employment (or)
self-employment and instructed them to be self-sufficient financially.
