2013 - onwards
SOFT TOY MAKING

Course period        :       August to February every year
Duration                :       50 hours (10 hours per each toy making)
Day(s)                   :       every Tuesday and Thursday
Time                      :       4 pm to 6 pm
Resource persons  :       Faculty of Home Science .

Eligibility             :       Non Home Science students from UG and PG courses


Objectives :
·        To develop skills in toy making.
·        To encourage toy making as a source of income.
·        To promote aesthetic appreciation.

FASHION EMBROIDERY

·        To teach skill of latest designs.
·        To develop entrepreneurial skills.

·        Basic stitches
·        Raised fish bone and trellis work
·        Knot stitches
·        Romanian and open fish bone
·        Product making – 6 exercises

BEAUTICIAN COURSE

Eligibility             :       Open to all UG and PG students

·        To develop interest regarding personal grooming.
·        To impart skills in beauty care.
·        To show a source of income.
·        To motivate students to take up advanced beautician courses.

COMPUTER AIDED APPAREL DESIGNING (CAAD)

Time                        :       10:00 am to 12:30 pm

Eligibility               :      Home Science students

Objectives :
·        To impart skills in apparel designing.

·        Drawing lines, rectangles, circles, polygons, polylines, sp lines, donuts.
·        Specifying hatch patterns
·        Changing the magnification of drawing text style
