STUDENT PROGRESSION
2019-2020

Home Science students organized Mehandi and Temporary tattoo stall in mission fete. Students were very much interested to have temporary tattoo in different styles. They were given chance to select their own design and the same was depicted on their forearm. It was very successful stall of mission fete and highly remunerative. 

Students participation in various activities

G.Padmaja of II. B.Sc Home Science participated in an essay writing competition and won III prize on the topic –“Integrity-Definition and Importance” conducted by Andhra Bank.

S.Lahari of II. B.Sc Home Science participated in an elocution competition on the topic-“Integrity the way of life” Which was conducted by LIC. 

On 8^th November 25, 2019, V.N.B.Sailaja, A.Priyanka, Ch.Suma Srivalli of I.B.Sc Home Science participated in group singing at Gurajada Uthsavalu and won II prize.

On 16^th November, 2019 B.Kiranmayi of II B.Sc H.Sc participated in district level youth services in MOCK parliament organized by SETWELL.

On 17^th & 18^th November 2019, A.Priyanka of I.B.Sc H.Sc participated in Chess Competition and won third prize organized by Adikavi Nannaya University meeting cum selections, held at Aditya Degree College for Women, Kakinada.

    On 14^th November, 2019 the students of III B.Sc Home Science attended a guest lecture on the topic “Personal Hygiene-Hand wash practices”. The resource person of the program was Mrs.D.Rose Mary, District Nursing Officer, District Medical and Health Office (DMHO).

    

     Kritika Jain of III B.Sc. Home Science participated in Lambadi folk dance in Youth Festival Cultural Competitions organized by Sir.C.R.R.College, Eluru on 6^th December, 2019.

    Kritika Jain of III B.Sc. Home Science participated and won I Prize in Lambadi folk dance in EDU-POWWOW 2019 Competitions organized by Dr.C.S.N Degree and Pg College, Bhimavaram on 20^th December, 2019.

    J.Pavana Sai and B.Kiranmayi of II B.Sc. Home Science participated in “Mehandi” Academia Competition conducted by Department of Home Science at College level and won I and III Prizes respectively.

    M.Amreen, K.Reshma priya, I.Likhitha sai of III B.Sc. Home Science participated in “Wealth from Waste” Academia Competition conducted by Department of Social Sciences at College level.

    B.Kiranmayi, K.Yoshita, B.Uhsa Rani, B.Navya Sudha, G.Prathyusha, K.Ganga Parameswari, G,Padmaja of II B.Sc Home Science Participated in NSS Camp by Creating  awareness on Kishori Vikasam in 10 different colleges and schools along with three adopted villages from 24^th to 30^th January 2020.

    S.S.L.S.N.Lahari of II B.Sc Home Science participated and won III prize  in Elocution competition on the topic “Disha Act” organized by Women Cell on 15^th February 2020.

    S.Prasanna Lakshmi of I.B.Sc Home Science participated in Food without Fire organized by Applied Sciences Department as a part of Nutrition Week Celebrations in the month of September, 2019.

    Ch.Saraswathi of I B.Sc Home Science participated and won III prize in Elocution competition on the topic “Google or Guru” organized by English Department in the month of August, 2019.

    A.Priyanka of I B.Sc. Home Science participated and won I prize in group folk dance in Youth Festival Cultural Competitions organized by Dr.C.S.N Degree and Pg College, Bhimavaram on 19^th December, 2019.

    I.Likitha Sai of III B.Sc Home Science participated and won I Prize in Flower Carpet competition organized by Botany Department as a part of Botany Week Celebrations.

    Kritika Jain of III B.Sc. Home Science participated and presented poster on the topic “Women Empowerment” in Thailand in the month of November, 2019.

    Ch.Lakshmi Priya, J.Joyce, T.Sahitya, Ch.Suma, K.P.Gayathri, B.Bhavishya, M.Divya, K.Chandana of I B.Sc Home Science participated in Spell-B competition organized by Departrment of English on 15^th February, 2020.

    J.Joyce of I B.Sc Home Science won II Prize in Spell-B competition organized by Department of English on 15^th February, 2020.

    M.Anusha, M.Suguna, Ch.J.Lahari, P. Bhavana, S.S.L.S.N.Lahari, P.Dhanya Deepika, N.Pratyusha of II B.Sc Home Science visited different places like stabilizer unit, Beehive unit of Agriculture and horticulture research section, Vipasana Meditation Centre at Vijayarai organized by Centre for Women Studies on 17^th February, 2020.

    B.Kiranmayi, K.Yoshita, B.Navya Sudha, G.Prathyusha, K.Ganga Parameswari, G,Padmaja of II B.Sc Home Science visited Police grounds for attending a guest lecture on “Defense Mechanism” organized by NSS on 18^th February 2020.

    P. Dhanya deepika of II B.Sc H.Sc served as a leader of a student group named as Durga Bhai Deshmukh, one of the groups in Centre for Women Studies.

2016 – 2017

•           K.Divya of III B.Sc. H.Sc was elected as college UG Union Vice President.
•       G.Baby Syamala of III B.Sc,H.Sc was elected as Women’s Cell President.
•       B. Radhika of II B.Sc,H.Sc was elected as Women’s Cell  Vice President.
•       Four II B.Sc H.Sc students participated in NSS camp at Vatluru  and extended their services for one week to the villagers.
•     Baby Syamala. G & Divya. K of III B.Sc. H. Sc spoke on theme of Breast Feeding to students of our college.
•       S. Hari Priyanka & P.Siri Chandana of II B.Sc.H.Sc participated and achieved prizes for essay competition on the topic “Importance of Education- Turn windows into mirrors” in Telugu and English.
•       Reshma Priya of I B. Sc ( H.Sc) won I prize in  group singing at Divisional level competitions Youth festival competitions organized by SETWEL
•    Home science students were able to participate in “Earn While You Learn Programme” and they were able to generate income by putting mehandi in marriage functions and by doing make-up for college level cultural events.

2015- 2016

•       B.Rajeswari of III B.Sc ,H.Sc was elected as college UG Union Placement cell President.
•    P. Sai Sunanda and P.V.Padmavathi of III B.Sc,H.Sc were elected as women’s cell group leaders.
•   Three III B.Sc H.Sc students and six I B.Sc Students participated in “Mahapushkara” NSS Special camp at Rajahmundry and extended their services to the pilgrims in the railway station.
•      B. Rajeswari of III B.Sc ,H.Sc spoke on theme of Breast Feeding to students of our college.
•    III B.Sc ,H.Sc students visited ASHRAM college to create awareness about Nutrition.
•      T. Sahithya of II B. Sc ( H.Sc) won I Prize and B. Supriya of III B. Sc ( H.Sc) won II Prize in Low cost Recipe contest on 1^st  Sept., 2015
•      Ch. Bindu Madhavi of I B. Sc ( H.Sc) - III Prize in PPT Competition held on 2^nd  Sept., 2015.
•       T. Sahithya of II B. Sc ( H.Sc) won I Prize and B. Supriya of III B. Sc ( H.Sc) won II Prize in Live model demonstrations on 2^nd  Sept., 2015.
•       T. Sahithya of II B. Sc ( H.Sc) won III Prize, Ch. Bindu Madhavi of I B. Sc    ( H.Sc) and A. Bhagya Sri of III B. Sc ( H.Sc) won consolation prizes in Traditional dress competitions.
•       T. Sahithya of II B. Sc ( H.Sc) won I Prize and Md. Ashwiya of II B. Sc          ( H.Sc) won consolation  Prize in hair style competition.
•       Md. Ashwiya of II B. Sc ( H.Sc) won I prize, K.Phani Priyanka of I B. Sc       ( H.Sc) III prize and B. Suryanarayanamma of III B. Sc ( H.Sc) won consolation  Prize in face painting competition.
•       Ch. Bindu Madhavi of I B. Sc ( H.Sc) won I prize in Western dance at Divisional and District level Youth festival competitions organized by SETWEL
•     K. Rabiha of I B. Sc ( H.Sc) won I prize in Folk dance at Divisional level competitions Youth festival competitions organized by SETWEL
•     I, II and III B.Sc H.Sc students participated in various cultural programmes during Independence Day Celebration, College Day Celebration   etc.
•     Home science students were able to participate in “Earn While You Learn Programme” and they were able to gain remuneration by supplying sprouts, sale of glass paint wall hangings, Jewellary and Greeting cards made out of Quilling Art, by doing facial make up for more than 100 students during college day celebration and also gained by putting Mehandi in a marriage function.

2014 -2015

• Ch.Neelima of III B.Sc Home Science participated in vegetable carving competition organized by Rotaract club on 14^th   September 2014 and won second prize.
•    Ch.Neelima of III B.Sc Home Science participated in wealth from waste competition organized by Rotaract club on 14^th   September 2014 and won second prize.
•     Ch.Neelima of III B.Sc Home Science participated in two different folk dances  competition organized by Rotaract club on 21^st September 2014 and won first and third prizes.
•     Ch.Neelima of III B.Sc Home Science participated in fancy dress competition organized by Rotaract club on 28^th  September 2014 and won first prize.
•     J.Nukambica of III B.Sc Home Science participated in two different folk dances  competition organized by Rotaract club on 21^st September 2014 and won first and third prizes.
•     E.Sravani of III B.Sc Home Science participated in wealth from waste competition organized by Rotaract club on 14^th   September 2014 and won first prize.

•     Ch.Neelima of III B.Sc Home Science participated in group dance competition organized by SETWEL at district level on 10^th December and won first prize.

2013 -2014

•     R.S.Sravanthi of III B.Sc Home Science is the college Union President during this Diamond Jubilee Year of the college. She won first prize in Group Discussion organized by Youth Association of Andhra Pradesh at constituency level on 23^rd June 2013.
•     Ch.Neelima, D.Vasavi, J.Nukambica, K.Lavanya of II B.Sc Home Science participated in Group Dance competition organized by Youth Association of Andhra Pradesh at constituency level on 23^rd June 2013 and won first prize.
•     Manju Prasanna of II B.Sc Home Science participated in Group singing competition organized by Youth Association of Andhra Pradesh at constituency level on 23^rd June 2013 and won first prize.

2012- 2013

•     Four I B.Sc Home science students participated in folk dance competition organized by SETWEL under Ministry for Youth Affairs at District Level and  won First prize.(D.Vasavi, Ch.Neelima, J.Nukambica,Ch. Lavanya)
•     Divya of III B.Sc Home science students participated in Group Song competition organized by the commissionarate of collegiate education, Hyderabad.
•     R.S.Sravanthi and BVR Prashanthi of II B.Sc Home science participated in Fashion Trendz staged during SNEHITHA public programme on 17^th Feb’ 2013.
•     R.S.Sravanthi of II B.Sc Home science is one of the MC’S during  the 60^th college day cultural programme.

•     III B.Sc Home science students presented viva voce for their projects work for which Mrs.P.Hemalatha, Lecturer, Govt. College for women, was the external member.
•     III B.Sc Home science students attended an orientation talk by Mrs.Srujana, a Nutritionist from AMC Cookware.
•     II B.Sc Home science students were allotted project guide and project work was discussed in order to continue the work during the summer vacation.
•     I B.Sc Home science students performed dance during college Christmas celebrations under the guidance of Dr.K.Rani
