LOCAL VISITS & FIELD TRIPS
2019-2020

     II B.Sc H.Sc students visited Anganwadi centre, located at Sri Ram Nagar Road, Eluru on 7^th August, 2019. Students came to know about the ongoing programmes of Women and Child Welfare Department from the Anganwadi Instructor. They even came to know about the immunization schedule which is being practiced in the recent years for infants.

    III B.Sc H.Sc students visited Mandal Upper Primary School at  Kandrikagudem  on 7^th September, 2019.

    From 13^th November, 2019 to 21^st November, 2019, Dr.K.V.Padmavathi and Ms. Kritika Jain of III.B.Sc. H.Sc went to Thailand, as a part of International Exchange Programme under RUSA.

    From 7^th January, 2020 to 12^th January, 2020, Dr.K.Rani, Dr.M.Padmaja, Mrs P.S.Bhanu Prasanna and Ms. T.Jhansi Lakshmi went to Malaysia, as a part of International Exchange Programme under RUSA and Faculty Development Program.

    III B.Sc H.Sc students visited Euro-kids Primary School at Satrampadu, Eluru on 11^th February, 2020.

    II B.Sc H.Sc students visited Premalayam Oldage home at Eluru on 10^th February, 2020.

    II B.Sc H.Sc students visited Government children home for boys at  Sanivarapeta, Eluru  on 12^th February, 2020

INDUSTRIAL TOURS

Home Science staff and students have visited Ooty and Coonoor from 16-2-17 to 19-2-17. The following are the places visited by them:

                           1. Benchmark tea factory, Chocolate & Eucalyptus oil factory

                           2. Mayur tea gardens, Mayur Eucalyptus oil extraction unit

                           3. ICAR- Central Potato Research Station, Ooty.

                           4. Botanical Gardens

                           5. Dolphin’s Nose- Highest peak in Coonoor

                           6. DoddaBedda- Highest Peak in Nilgiris

                           7. Lamb’s rock

FIELD VISITS/TRIPS

v 2014-2015- Field trip towards KVK, Kaluvacharla, Rajahmundry was organized for all the Home science students on 30^th Oct’ 2014.

v 2015-2016-A field trip was organized on 27^th November, 2015 for all the Home science students to KVK, Dr.YSR Horticulture University, Venkataramannagudem. During the trip students had an opportunity of witnessing the demonstration of bakery with millets and various food preserves.

v II B.Sc H.Sc students visited Anganwadi Training Centre of Women and Child Welfare Department, Ashok Nagar, Eluru on 22^nd September, 2016 to witness different types of ongoing programmes  for women and children.

v III B.Sc H.Sc students visited Govt. Children Home for Boys, Sanivarapeta, Eluru on 26^th  September,  2016  to  observe the life of children present there.

v  II & III B.Sc H.Sc students visited Premalayam, an old age home, Madepalli, Eluru on 31^{st January}, 2017 to observe the life of the elderly.

v II & III B.Sc H.Sc students visited Premanvitha, mentally retarded institute, Perugu Chettu road, Eluru on 7^{th February}, 2017 to witness the daily activities of the handicapped and mentally retarded children.

v III B.Sc H.Sc students visited Elisha Blind Memorial Home for Blind, Chataparru Road, Eluru on 14^th February, 2017 to observe the activities of Non Governmental Organization.

v III B.Sc H.Sc students visited Govt. Children Home for Boys, Sanivarapeta, Eluru on 21^st   February, 2017   to observe the life of children present there.
